The NBA All-Star Game has lived up to the hype already with many highlight plays through the first half.  It's rare you see teammates go head to head, but that's exactly what happened as Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown- the pair of Boston Celtics teammates– went 1-on-1 in the second quarter.

The Celtics stars were drafted on separate teams and this makes the first time they will end up competing against one another.

Brown is having a terrific season and is in the running for Most Improved Player, as he is averaging 24.7 points with 5.6 boards and 3.9 assists on the year.

As for Tatum, he was named a starter after Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant was ruled out for the game as he continues to rehab the injury.

Team LeBron won the first quarter by a point and the second quarter also belonged to Team LeBron, who came in as heavy favorites due to a starting five of LeBron, Nikola Jokic, Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

One thing's certain, LeBron knows how to assemble a team.

The matchup of Brown and Tatum was one of the most talked-about topics regarding the game prior to All-Star weekend and fans finally got the answer to the question of who would win a hypothetical 1-on-1 matchup between the pair of Celtics.

Team LeBron is off to a fantastic start at halftime and it will be interesting to see how the teams perform for the remainder of the game. Of course, we will have to wait till after the Slam Dunk Contest.
