The Boston Celtics have been hit by injury woes recently. Centers Al Horford, Aron Baynes, and Robert Williams are currently dealing with injuries that could sideline them for a couple more games. Now, forward Jayson Tatum is closely being monitored after a hard fall during the team's 124-117 loss to the Charlotte Hornets.

It is not clear as to how severe Tatum's injury is, but updates should be released in a couple of hours.

The Celtics had a chance to inch closer to the fourth spot in the East with a win. Before the Hornets game, they were only a game behind the Indiana Pacers for the fourth spot in the conference. Unfortunately, they weren't able to capitalize.

To make things worse, Jayson Tatum — one of their best offensive and defensive players –went down with an injury. This could hurt their chances down the stretch, especially if the former third overall pick will miss a week or two.

Boston can't seem to get their momentum going. They were pretty much inconsistent for the majority of the season, and just when it looked like they're starting to figure things out, injuries started to take place.

The postseason is just a few weeks away, and the Celtics will need to figure out how to get past these obstacles if they want to win a championship. Otherwise, their playoff run could end as early as the first round.
