It's almost unimaginable to think how at one point earlier in the season, some critics were saying that the Boston Celtics were done. The ship was unsteady as ever and stories began circling about the players turning on each other.

Jayson Tatum is well aware of all the drama and he recently talked about his relationship with Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown. Tatum admitted that there were some dark days earlier in the season but through it all, they just knew that they were going to pull through:

“It's just two young extremely competitive guys that just really want to win at all cost. I think, obviously, that made us closer in a sense that we just wanted to figure it out. Not necessarily prove people wrong, but just prove that we can win and put ourselves in a position to do that,” said the Celtics superstar, via NBA on Twitter. “And it was tough. Certain times, we were 3 games under .500 and the 11th seed. I'm sure not many would have people thought we would have got to this point. But there was always a sense of beliefe between us and the group that we were capable of figuring it out.”

Things got so bad for the Celtics early in the season that talk of a possible trade for Brown began emerging. Those rumors obviously did not age well and the Celtics impressively battled through adversity to get to where they are right now.
