Washington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas was all smiles in this year's edition of his annual charity tournament dubbed as the Zeke-End Basketball Tournament. The veteran posted a photo of himself on his Instagram, and former Boston Celtics teammate Marcus Smart took notice and responded with an endearing comment aimed towards his former backcourt buddy.

Thomas has been through a rough couple of years battling injury, and Smart made sure that he would share this joyful moment with his former teammate. This is via Jacob Camenker of Yahoo! Sports.

Isaiah Thomas, Marcus Smart

There is obviously no love lost between the two, and despite Thomas parting ways with the C's two years ago, it is clear that he and Smart have formed a bond that has withstood the test of time.

The city of Boston fully appreciate how Thomas gave pretty much his all for the team, which is the very reason why some believe that this is what led to his hip problem following two All-Star caliber seasons wherein he missed a total of only six regular season games — despite a slew of injuries. For his part, Smart definitely knows how much Thomas sacrificed for the Celtics, and Smart has nothing but love for his former teammate.

Thomas recently signed a one-year minimum deal with Washington, where he hopes to resurrect his ailing career. The 29-year-old might just get what he is hoping for with the Wizards, with John Wall expected to sit out most, if not all of the coming season.
