Love him or hate him, Paul Pierce is now a Hall of Fame member. The Boston Celtics legend will get inducted on Saturday and there's nothing you could do about it. Well, you could clap and acknowledge that Pierce is truly among the great small forwards in NBA history.

One guy who certainly agrees is Paul Pierce. On Thursday, he reposted on Twitter an article about him. Quite strangely, as Pierce has been these days, he referred to himself in the third person as he simply copied the title made by Yahoo! Sports.

There's no denying though that the title was speaking, ehem, the truth.

Since retiring from the NBA in 2017, Pierce's legacy has been tainted by his ridiculous pronouncements as a TV analyst and several controversies involving his marijuana use. Some have dismissed him as a joke despite his illustrious career, which saw him garnering an NBA title, a Finals MVP trophy, 10 All-Star nods, and four All-NBA Team selections.

As the article, written by Ben Rohrbach, stated, The Truth is better than what you think.

Pierce may not be better than he thinks. (We will get to that.) But he was definitely better than you think, and now he is a Hall of Famer who no longer needs to care what you think. He may never have, which is probably why he exceeded all expectations for his career, why so many players, pundits and spectators wildly underrate him four years into his retirement, and why his opening act as an analyst ended abruptly.

He will be introduced into the Hall of Fame by former teammate Kevin Garnett and for sure, Paul Pierce will be pleased that Paul Pierce is now part of the elite club.
