Boston Celtics rookie Carsen Edwards just made headlines after putting two former MVPs on a poster.

The 5-foot-11 first year guard out of Purdue breezed past 2017 MVP Russel Westbrook on the left wing and drove hard to the basket to meet 2018 MVP James Harden at the rim with a monstrous left-handed slam. Yes, the Celtics may have lost the game, but Edwards will most probably remember this night for the foreseeable future.

Play of the night? More like play of the week. Take a look and see for yourselves:

After the slam, Edwards even gave Harden a stare down and left the two Rockets arguing on the defensive lapse.

Savage.Ā

As mentioned, Carsen Edwards and the Celtics eventually lost to the Rockets in a 137-112 blowout. Harden dropped 30 points, all in in the first half of the game.

Boston ended their tune-up games with 1-2 record. Now, the Celtics will enter the restart looking to secure the third spot in the East and enjoy ā€œhome court advantageā€ come playoffs. Their first assignment for the upcoming seeding games in Orlando is against the Milwaukee Bucks on July 31.

Will Edwards posterize another MVP come Friday? We'll have to wait and see.
