Boston Celtics swingman Jaylen Brown knows the importance of their showdown with the Los Angeles Lakers, so he made it extra memorable with a vicious dunk on LeBron James.

Midway through the third quarter and with the Celtics ahead by double digits, Brown showed no hesitation as he attacked the rim. With Danny Green defending him and LeBron waiting under the rim, Jaylen knew it would be difficult; however, he continued his drive and threw it down hard all over “The King.”

This dunk represented the Celtics play in general, as they walloped the Lakers for much of the game, including outscoring the Lakers by at least 10 points in both the second and third quarters.

After a down year in 2018-19, Jaylen Brown has bounced back in a big way in 2019-20 by putting up the best numbers of his career. Heading into Monday night's action, the 23-year-old wing was putting up 20.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steal per game — all of which are career-highs.

While it remains to be seen if the fourth-year Celtics rising star will make his first All-Star game this season, Brown definitely deserves to at least be in the conversation in the Eastern Conference.
