The Dallas Cowboys came up just short of a comeback against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday – but that doesn’t bother Dak Prescott.
The Cowboys quarterback still managed to sound off a warning to their playoff opponent yet to be named.
Via Cowboys reporter Jon Machota:
“Whoever it is (we face in the playoffs), line em up,” said Dak Prescott. “I have a lot of confidence in this team.”
That team could very well be these same Cardinals. The game’s result gave Arizona an identical 11-5 record with the Cowboys, which matches them up together as opponents if the postseason began today.
Prescott was asked about potentially having a rematch against Kyler Murray and the Cards. The Cowboys QB was more than receptive to the idea of trying to exact revenge on the team that just had just snapped their 4-game winning streak.
“I mean for sure,” Prescott continued. “I mean to get to where we go we’ve got to play the best. Obviously this team right here gave us their best shot and we came up three points short. If we start this tournament off against them we’re excited.”
If ever they do matchup, perhaps the Cowboys would be better served deferring homecourt advantage. Kyler Murray has gone 9-0 in AT&T Stadium, dating back to his days as a Texas high school prospect in Allen High School.
