Erik Spoelstra experienced some huge changes in his roster and respective organization. With Dwyane Wade‘s sad departure to the Chicago Bulls, Spoelstra finally takes a moment to reflect on the huge changes.

“Just when you get comfortable, it will change,” Spoelstra told the Sun Sentinel. “This is a new challenge. We're embracing the change. We're excited about the future, excited about the guys we have on our team. You also have to have the right kind of players.”

Spoelstra, a confident 2-time NBA champion coach, is comfortable being at the helm of this team even with an uncertain future. Knowing this, he appreciates the things he will always know about his team.

“There's some things that will never change with this organization,” Spoelstra said. “Our expectation to win. Our expectation to compete for an NBA championship regardless of who we have in this uniform. And to do those things, you have to commit to a championship level defense.”

All in all, the Heat team will go at it to get another NBA title.

“We're not looking to come into the season as an underdog,” Spoelstra remarked. “It's much more exciting, much more purpose when you're playing with great expectations.”
