AlphaTauri team boss Franz Tost says people who don't agree with the current Formula 1 race calendar can easily leave the sport if they wanted to.

Over the years, the workload has increased across the Formula 1 race calendar. This year features the most F1 races in a single season in the history of the sport, and with 6 races to go, it'll have amounted to 23 different races at the end of the season.

This has sparked conversations around the paddock about possible burnouts among the teams' engineers, mechanics, and technicians, who work around the clock to create the most advanced machinery in motorsport.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, emphasizes that these burnouts could lead to errors or mistakes that could be detrimental to team success, while also taking into account the staff's mental and physical health. However, Tost believes that this is all a bunch of whining.

Via Jonathan Noble of Motorsport:

“Regarding the people at the track. First of all, we are a race team. They all should be happy that we have as many races as possible and, of course, we take care of the people, for example the mechanics after a race weekend they have three days, four days off where they can stay at home.”

He adds, “I think we should all be happy that we are in the position of working in Formula 1 and that there are 23 races being organised. If you don't like that, leave”,

It'll be interesting, to say the least, to see if the Formula 1 board makes anything of these comments said by the team principals. Formula 1 fans will have to wait another week before seeing another round of dramatic racing at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
