Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas seems to have a front seat, enjoying the show of Formula 1's latest rivalry, Max Verstappen vs. Lewis Hamilton.

Bottas stresses that his teammate's rivalry with the Dutch star is natural and does not harm anyone's wellbeing despite all the controversy this season.

“I don’t think it is anything personal,” Bottas said as per GPFans. “That is my view.”

“For sure if you are on the podium after a race that you have been wheel-to-wheel with someone, you still have that adrenaline and it might feel like tension but that is completely normal in this sport so for me it is all normal.”

“If I look at Turkey,” he continued, “I saw them having a chat and thought everything was normal.”

Apart from going head-to-head in Formula 1 standings all season, Verstappen and Hamilton have crashed more than once— resulting in post-race disagreements between the two superstars.

However, the fin understands that these events and antics are part of the pair's competitive nature. After all, Verstappen and Hamilton possess the skills of a championship-contending driver.

“It is competition and when you are competing hard on track you are not trying to make friends but Lewis and Max, they are both adults so they know that is the name of the game.”

Max Verstappen looks to extend his 12 point lead over seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton with the Mexican Grand Prix coming up. Sit tight Formula 1 fans, with just five races to go, the season's end will surely be a treat.
