It appears another good veteran player is going to be on the open market here soon, and free to sign with any NBA team.

Per Sam Amick of USA Today, Ersan Illaysova and the Atlanta Hawks are close on a buyout.

During the trade deadline, Illyasova invoked his right to not be traded according to Michael Cunningham of the Atlanta-Journal Constitution. He had some interesting comments about not wanting to be traded, but wanting to see some other options that were out there.

“There are a couple of days left and I want to see other options,” said Ilyasova before the trade deadline “But I am really kind of OK being here. We’ve got something good going on. We are trying to improve as a team. I want to see all options but I would really like to be here.”

There isn't really a clear market or a heavy favorite for his services at this point but Amick adds that the Milwaukee Bucks as well as the Toronto Raptors are interested invading the forward.

So far this year he has been a really big part of the Atlanta Hawks team. He is averaging 25.5 minutes putting up 10.9 points, 5.5 assists, and 1.1 rebounds.

He is shooting 45.9 percent from the field, and 35.9 percent from three. Although that isn't an amazing percentage from deep, if he gets on a roll, he can really start to knock them down in bunches.

Once the buyout is completed, look for him to have no issue finding a new team quickly.
