The Miami Heat dropped Game 5 against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals by a final score of 93-80. It is the second consecutive game Miami scored less than 85 points. Their offensive struggles could spell the end of their season if they don't things around as soon as possible. Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry have labored in terms of shooting the basketball.

Lowry scored no points on 0-6 shooting from the field in Game 5. In fact, Lowry and Max Strus combined to go 0-15 from the field in the contest. Meanwhile, Butler posted just 13 points on 4-18 shooting from the field. Both Lowry and Butler are dealing with injuries which has played a major role in their underperformance. Nonetheless, Miami won't be able to win if their stars can't hit shots.

Heat center Bam Adebayo commented on the injury-related struggles of Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry.

“Gotta adapt. In my opinion, I feel like everybody is hurt around this time of year,” Adebayo said. “We're all bumped and bruised. You know we still lining up, still gotta play these games, we still want to win.”

Bam Adebayo was the lone bright spot for the Heat in Game 5. The big man posted a quality 18 point, 10 rebound double-double. He went 8-15 from the field as well. The only real help he received was from Gabe Vincent off the bench, who contributed 15 points on 6-12 shooting. But even Vincent shot just 1-7 from beyond the arc.

As a team, the Heat shot 31.9 percent from the field and an abysmal 15.6 percent from three-point range. Although their defense played fairly well and caused 15 turnovers, their offensive inefficiencies have been too much to overcome as of late.

They will try to get some more shots to fall in Game 6 against the Celtics in Boston.
