Before the Miami Heat defeated the San Antonio Spurs 110-105 yesterday, the latter gave future Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade a tribute video. In addition, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich gave Wade a silver and black box during pre-game warmups, which contained autographed jerseys of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili.

In an interview with MySanAntonio.com's Darren Abate, Wade said he didn't have the patience to wait til the team gets back to Miami, so he opened the box immediately, and he was very appreciative of what he received.

“Those are guys I have so much respect for. I appreciate those jerseys.”

Wade, who is set to retire after this season, had two classic battles with the Spurs in the Finals. Together with LeBron James and Chris Bosh, Miami beat San Antonio back in 2014 and then lost to them the following year.

The 3-time champion has been widely recognized by the league as one of the best shooting guards to ever play the game. When the season began, players started asking Wade to exchange jerseys with them, as a sign of respect and appreciation for what he's done for the league.

But the Spurs made sure that their tribute to Wade is different, and something that the 13-time All-Star will remember once he finally decides to walk away from the game of basketball.
