With the Miami Heat entering the new campaign with a revamped lineup, head coach Erik Spoelstra has recently singled out big man Bam Adebayo as one of the players he expects to play a huge role for the team this coming season.

According to coach Spo, he believes that Adebayo has had a tremendous impact on the Heat despite the fact that the the 22-year-old big man has only been with the squad for two seasons.

“He was one of the more impactful centers in terms of winning in the league,” Spoelstra said, via Ira Wilderman of the Sun Sentinel. That's the only thing that matters to me.”

Miami selected Adebayo with their 14th overall pick back in 2017. Over the past two seasons, the highly-promising big man has continued to show true potential, leading some to believe that he could eventually establish himself as one of the top big men in the entire league.

Spoelstra continued his praise of the former Kentucky standout, pointing out that despite his young age, he already sees some leadership potential on Adebayo.

“Bam understands the concept of a team and bringing out more out of somebody else, and he finds enjoyment and pride out of making somebody else better,” he added.

That's some very high praise from Spoelstra right there, and it is definitely something a guy like Adebayo would love to hear from his coach. Hopefully, he is able to use this as motivation to further elevate his game, and emerge as one of the building blocks of the Heat franchise moving forward.
