Being the true in-the-moment type of guy that he is, Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra appears to have stopped to smell the roses, as he described how fun it is to be in a playoff race.

“How can you not have fun right now, in a playoff hunt, in a playoff race?” Spoelstra said, via ESPN. “To be in a playoff race, every game has context and pressure and meaning to it, that's a lot of fun. I want our guys to have fun with this.”

Coach Spoelstra was in a jovial mood following his team's thrashing of the hapless Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night, 126-110.

It was a total team effort for the Heat on the evening, as eight out of their 10-man rotation logged double-digits in scoring against the Cavs. 22-year-old point guard Justise Winslow led the way for Miami, as he flirted with a triple-double with 16 points (on 6-of-12 shooting), nine rebounds, nine assists, and a steal.

Veteran guard Goran Dragic took another step in his road to full strength as he was very efficient in this one, scoring 11 points (on 5-of-9 shooting) in just 15 minutes of action.

Spoelstra was in an understandably positive mood, as his team have now won four straight contests. They are currently sitting at the eighth and final spot in the East, with the Orlando Magic and the Charlotte Hornets both just one win behind them.

It's all fun and wonderful at this point, but surely, coach Spo might not have the same attitude if things were to take a turn for the worst for his team.
