Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra is already piling the pressure on his new superstar recruit, Jimmy Butler. The two-time NBA champion coach did not beat around the bush when talking about what he expects from Butler in terms of stepping up as the team's leader:

This speaks volumes of the type of expectations the Heat have for Butler, who signed with them this summer as part of a sign-and-trade deal from the Philadelphia 76ers. Without having been able to play a single minute of basketball with his new team just yet, the pressure to perform is already so high for Butler.

Such is the atmosphere of an organization such as the Heat, but knowing Butler, he will be more than willing to take on the challenge ahead. The four-time All-Star swingman is not exactly the timid type, and his strong personality seems to be a perfect fit with a team like Miami.

Spoelstra went on to say that the past few months have been a feeling-out process between himself and his new star, and he fully understands how important his relationship with Butler will be not only for the two of them, but for the entire Heat organization:
