Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro created a bit of a scene against the Orlando Magic as he talked some trash to Magic veteran Michael Carter-Williams — resulting in a double technical. Veteran forward Jimmy Butler — who is known as a grinder himself — added to the hilarity in a postgame interview saying that he would have ejected Herro if he were an official.

“I want Tyler to know his a— should have got thrown out. If I was the ref I would have tossed his little a—, how dare you,” Butler joked. “No, I like that energy, man. The world knows that’s my dawg, he’s doing it for the 414, I know all about it, I went to school over there. But if I was the ref, if I was Scott, I would have tossed his a–.”

Herro is having quite an impact in the preseason showing why the Heat took him with the 13th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-6 guard was has established himself as the team's starter at shooting guard and is averaging 16.3 points in just 24.7 minutes per game on a ridiculous efficiency, drawing comparisons to Klay Thompson in the process. He’s converting on 54.5 percent of his shot attempts and 53.3 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.

Although he may be young, Herro has made it very clear early on that he's not going to back down from anything. You need that kind of moxie to survive in the NBA — especially when you're a youngster.
