Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler did not let Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young off the hook for saying “it's over” when it clearly was not.

On Instagram, Butler poked fun at Young, noting that the second-year man was right in his prediction. The game was over
but in the favor of the Heat.

In the Heat's 135-121 victory over the Hawks on Tuesday, Young preemptively yelled that the game was in the bag for them after dishing out an assist to put them by six points with under a minute left.

Little did he know that the Heat — who have been spectacular thus far — would burst for six straight points and send the game to overtime. In the extra period, they pounced on the Hawks by way of a 22-0 run to seal the victory.

Butler finished with a monster triple-double: 20 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. Three players scored 30 points: Kendrick Nunn with 36, Duncan Robinson with 34, and Bam Abedayo with 30.

With the win, the Heat improved to 18-6 for third place in the East. They are now tagged as one of the overachievers in the young 2019-20 season.

The Hawks, for their part, got contributions from De'Andre Hunter who finished with 28 points, Trae Young with 21 points and nine assists, and Jabari Parker with 16 points and seven rebounds.

Apart from the loss which has many lessons attached to it, Young needs to remind himself that he's playing in the NBA where leads can disappear in just a matter of seconds. Hopefully, Butler's post will help him.
