Kendrick Perkins has come out with more than a few controversial statements of late and there's no denying that the former NBA champ has emerged as one of the most polarizing broadcasters today. This time around, Big Perk decided to take aim at the Miami Heat after they lost to the Boston Celtics at home in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Perkins had to call on the great LeBron James as he slapped the Heat with some harsh reality after their 93-80 loss on Wednesday night:

“Last time Boston and Miami met in the ECF with Miami down 3-2, LeBron James delivered an epic 6 to save the Heat. Well guess what? LeBron James ain’t walking through those doors no time soon. Boston in SIX. Carry on…” Perkins wrote in his tweet.

The Celtics have just stolen away home-court advantage from the Heat with their impressive Game 5 win. Clearly, Perkins wanted to rub some salt into their wound by reminding Miami that LeBron won't be coming to save the day for them.

Game 6 shifts to Boston on Friday and this could very well be the last game of this series. The Celtics are now just one win away from booking their place in the NBA Finals for the first time in 12 years.
