The Miami Heat are not only going to lose Dwyane Wade after this season, but Udonis Haslem as well.

Udonis Haslem, who has spent his entire NBA career with the Heat, says he is going to retire with Dwyane Wade after this season ends.

“I’m gonna call it done too. There’s nothing else left for me to do on the basketball court,” Haslem told David Yapkowitz Basketball Insiders. “My kids are getting older, my son is playing college football at the University of Toledo, my 11-year-old is playing travel baseball and I never see him as he’s always out of town. My eight year old is playing travel basketball. There’s so many other things for me to be engaged in right now.

“A lot of guys can’t say that in this league. In this time, you change cities, you change teams, loyalty is kind of forgotten. To be able to say that, to be able to say I played for my organization my whole career, and not just played for one organization but had success individually and collectively as a team.”

Haslem is the Heat's franchise leader in defensive rebounds, offensive rebounds and total rebounds. He is second behind his pal, Wade, in minutes played and games.

Haslem is a hometown hero in South Beach. He grew up in Miami and has been with the organization since 2003. Haslem has three NBA championships on his résumé and will likely get his jersey retired by the Heat one day.

The 38-year-old NBA veteran has career averages of 7.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per contest. This season, however, Haslem has only appeared in three games and played 4.7 minutes a night.
