Udonis Haslem undecided on returning to Heat, could play overseas
Three-time champion with the Miami Heat Udonis Haslem is undecided on returning to the team. He also shared that he could play overseas.
As reported by the Sun Sentinel, Haslem, 38, said that he hasn’t put much thought into possibly returning to the Heat for his 16th season. Though he admitted that he still has a lot of basketball in him.
Being that he hasn’t seen much minutes over the past few years, he Haslem says that he has tons of energy left. Haslem shared that he might even play in China or Europe:
I got a lot of energy. They ain’t always getting exerted on the court so I got to figure out somewhere to put [it]. You know, I still got game left in me. I just might go in China or Europe or something. I got some game left.
Haslem entered the league as an undrafted rookie in 2003 and managed to be named into NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Throughout his career, he has played with the Heat. He was part of the championship team in 2005-2006 season. When LeBron James moved to South Beach, Haslem won his second and third ring.
For the past few years, Haslem has seen little playing time but still manages to contribute via his veteran leadership and voice. In 15 seasons, Haslem averaged 7.7 points, 6.8 rebounds. He shot 49.1 percent from the field.
