Not long after Bam Adebayo pen to paper on a huge $163 million extension with the Miami Heat, the All-Star big man is already spending his hard-earned money. The 23-year-old big man isn't exactly splurging on unnecessary luxuries, but instead, Adebayo has decided to use a chunk of his new fortune to gift his mother with a brand new home for her birthday.

Adebayo recently spoke about his endearing gesture, and he was quick to heap praise on the people who helped him get the house done in a span of just five days:

According to Bam Adebayo, he could not have pulled off the surprise had it not been for the incredible work of his amazing staff:

“Luckily, I have a great group of staff around me — my inner circle,” Adebayo said. “I'm not going to lie, they did most of the heavy lifting. They made that house happen in five days, which is crazy because when we walked into the house nothing was in it. And then to do all of that in five days — hats off to the circle that I got around me, hats off to the interior decorator, and just hats off to the realtor. That was unbelievable. It just made it more special that she got it on her birthday.”

This was truly an awesome gesture from Adebayo and one that should serve as a proper example for the younger generation of players in the NBA today.

Bam Adebayo had a breakout campaign for Miami last year, as he emerged as one of the top big men in the entire league. With averages of 15.9 points (on 55.7 percent shooting), 10.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.3 blocks, the 6-foot-9 forward/center deservedly earned his first-ever call up to the All-Star squad.

Adebayo was a key cog for the Heat as they went on a spectacular run all the way to the NBA Finals. They ultimately came up short, but Miami is out to prove this coming campaign that last season was no fluke.
