Since entering the league in 2016, Miami Heat forward Derrick Jones Jr. has done one thing exceptionally well: dunk the basketball.

The 6-foot-6 small forward out of UNLV participated in the 2017 NBA Dunk Contest and has put numerous defenders on posters in this season alone.

In the Heat's Friday matchup against the Indiana Pacers, Jones showed once again why he is one of the most exciting players in the league.

With roughly two minutes left in the first half, Heat guard Kendrick Nunn tossed an alley-oop from the three-point line to Jones Jr. who was cutting to the basket.

Aided by a reported 46-inch vertical, the Heat forward cleared right over Pacers guard Aaron Holiday for the slam.

In his third season in Miami, the 22-year-old is averaging 7.9 points and 3.4 rebounds in 21.5 minutes of playtime off the bench. Jones Jr, is also shooting an efficient 52.9 percent from the field and a career-high 31 percent from deep.
