As the 2018-19 season nears its end, every win will count for the Miami Heat as they try to make a late playoff push. However, If Derrick Jones Jr. keeps making plays like this, Miami will have as good of a chance as anybody.

Early in the second quarter of Saturday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets, an inbound pass was fed to guard Josh Richardson. After a drive to the hoop, Richardson passed the ball to Derrick Jones Jr., who flew in from near the free throw line to complete the slam.

Jones Jr. entered Saturday battling a knee injury. However, that clearly didn't bother him on his absurd slam dunk. The 21-year-old small forward joined Miami after being dealt by the Phoenix Suns during the 2017-18 season. In a bench role this season, he is averaging 7.1 points and 4.2 rebounds while shooting 50.2 percent.

At 27-34, every win matters for the Heat. They entered Saturday only a game and a half behind the Charlotte Hornets for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. However, the Orlando Magic is very much in the mix as well.

The Heat are trying their absolute best to make the playoffs in Dwyane Wade's final season. According to ESPN's BPI Playoff Odds, they have a 27.6% chance of doing exactly that.
