Dominating the Washington Wizards right from the opening tip, the Boston Celtics easily got the Game 5 victory, winning it 123-101. Boston now has a 3-2 lead in the second-round series and could possibly close it out on Friday in Game 6. A win in Game 6, would mean that the Celtics would advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, where the Cleveland Cavaliers await them.
Well aware what a Game 6 victory could mean for Boston, Celtics All-Star Isaiah Thomas ended his postgame conference on Tuesday by saying he may drop 40 points in the next game.
