The Kansas Jayhawks got off to a slow start against Miami on Sunday, heading into the locker room at halftime down by six. The team bounced back in a huge way during the second half, completely dominating the Hurricanes 47-15 in the final 20 minutes of play. After the Elite Eight NCAA Tournament win, head coach Bill Self revealed what went down in Kansas' locker room that helped turned the tide in their favor. Per Sam McDowell, Self admitted he was “positively pissed” at the half, and let his team hear it.

Self didn't even try to hide the fact that he was fuming after the Jayhawks' lackluster first half. Clearly, he challenged his team to show him something else in the second half, and they did exactly that. Kansas more than tripled the production from the Hurricanes during the second half, using the incredible offensive performance to punch their ticket to the Final Four.

Kansas fans were likely worried when the first-half buzzer sounded and they were trailing. Self certainly wasn't happy about it, and laid into his side during the break. While Self didn't clarify exactly what he said to his team, his words in the locker room clearly had an instant impact, as the Jayhawks were on fire out the gate in the second half.

The Jayhawks ended up winning the game 76-50, propelled by what was a completely lopsided second half. Ochai Agbaji led the charge with 18 points, while David McCormack added 15 points and Christian Braun provided 12 points. The Jayhawks will join Duke, Villanova, and the winner of St. Francis vs. North Carolina in this year's Final Four.
