Le'Veon Bell is a polarizing NFL player. He set the precedent for running backs to hold out, and is also one of the best running backs in all of football.  This Sunday, he should break a record that cements him as a football great. If the former Pittsburgh Steeler gains four yards from scrimmage with the New York Jets, he'll be the fastest to reach 8,000 scrimmage yards in history.

While Bell certainly receives praise for how good he is, people don't realize how valuable he really is. When the Jets face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, it will be Bell's 63rd game. This means that Bell has averaged around 127 yards per game. Averaging that much is hugely impressive, and a feat that is not easy to replicate.

The former Michigan State Spartan is set to have another great season. The Jets are an underrated team as a whole, but have one of the most underrated offensive lines in the league. Quarterback Sam Darnold is also set for a breakout season, which will help Bell. The receiving corps is definitely an incomplete unit, but that just means that Bell will get more pass-catching opportunities.  The defense is another underrated squad, with great players like Jamal Adams and Leonard Williams.

If Bell has a great year, the Jets are a possible Wild Card caliber team. He is an integral part of the Jets offense, and will probably lead the team in every offensive statistic.

Besides breaking the record, a return to the playoffs should be the goal for Bell and the Jets.
