The Syracuse Orange lost 55 percent of its offense after last season ended. In turn, it's not then shocking to hear Jim Boeheim talking about the flexibility his rotation might have when the 2019-20 college basketball campaign begins.

With five freshmen on the roster, some of whom are expected to see a good chunk of minutes, Boeheim explained how his new-look Orange will be a bit more flexible this season during the team's media day.

“The difference with this year’s team and last year’s with Tyus, Frank, and Oshae you basically had three guys that were going to play 38 minutes,” Jim Boeheim said. “And this year the only guy at this stage that looks like he would be playing that many minutes would be Elijah. I think there’s more flexibility in terms of the minutes.”

That more than hints at the idea that the Syracuse Orange are going to be looking at a deeper, more balanced rotation this season.

As it is with everything else, only time will tell if Jim Boeheim inevitably settles for a less flexible rotation as the 2019-20 college basketball season grows longer in the tooth.
