After failing to generate interest from NBA teams before the season started, Josh Smith recently decided to take his talents to China and play for the Sichuan Blue Whales of the CBA.

During his first game there, he failed to impress as he only shot 3-13 from the field and finishing with 6 points. But in his second match with his new team, the 6-foot-9 forward played an incredible game and produced 41 points, 19 rebounds and five blocks in a losing effort.

His numbers from the game may already be great as it is but one stat that really stood out was his three-point shooting, as he attempted 18 shots from beyond the arc and making seven of them.

Smith was always criticized in the NBA for his poor shot selection especially from three-point distance as he was never known for his efficiency from that range. But his 7-18 clip (38.9 percent) was definitely better than his career average of 28.5 percent.

He may not impress a lot of scouts from the NBA just yet, but if he continues to shoot at a higher percentage with less attempts from beyond the arc, it won't be impossible for J-Smoove to turn a lot of heads and may get another chance to play in the league once again.
