Khabib Nurmagomedov always manages to make controversial comments regarding his promotion, Eagle FC, and women it seems. Before it was that he didn't like octagon girls and now he says his promotion won't sign women.

The Russian isn't opposed to signing women in the future. Right now though, Khabib Nurmagomedov doesn't see the point in signing women to his promotion.

Khabib Nurmagomedov spoke about the subject during his Eagle FC press conference. He points to UFC 269 as a good example of why he's not looking to add any women.

“I am like, we can watch what Julianna Pena did with Amanda Nunes [at UFC 269],” Nurmagomedov said via BJPenn.com. But Julianna Pena, she’s not like greatness or something like that. She just beat Amanda Nunes like [on the day]. We can watch and not many good [female] fighters all around the world. There are only like five or six of them. And so we will wait and see.”

Dana White had a similar stance before women were added to the UFC. Ronda Rousey came along and the rest, as they say, is history.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is making big moves with Eagle FC as he has signed big names like Kevin Lee, Rashad Evans, Tyrone Spong, and many others. The goal is not to rival the UFC and they want to find their own lane in Miami.

Kevin Lee is set to make his debut in March while Rashad Evans has his debut planned for January. Khabib Nurmagomedov will certainly have his hands full as an MMA promoter.
