The New York Knicks are about to play in their first playoff game after what seems like eternity. Knicks fans will savor the experience for sure, and that includes Uncut Gems' Adam Sandler, who popped up on Twitter with a wish for his beloved Knickerbockers.

We're not exactly sure when this photo was taken, but it's probably dated back to the shooting days of the Safdie Brothers-directed 2019 flick. Posing with Sandler here was Eric Bogosian, who played as Howard Ratner's (Sandler's character) loan shark brother-in-law, Arno.

It's a good time to be a Knicks fan indeed. The team has bucked lowly expectations prior to the season, ending up not only with a playoff ticket but also with homecourt advantage in the postseason. New York head coach Tim Thibodeau has clearly changed the culture in Gotham, while the ascent of Julius Randle to an All-Star player helped the Knicks make a return to the playoffs for the first time since the days of Carmelo Anthony.

The Knicks will meet the Atlanta Hawks in the first round of the playoffs, and based on these teams' meetings back in the regular season, things are definitely looking up for New York. The Knicks defeated Atlanta in all three games against Atlanta before the playoffs. Moreover, the Knicks are 6-1 overall in their last seven games against Atlanta, dating back to 2019.

The Knicks must be seeing the whole NBA universe in opals right now.
