Former New York Knicks power forward Charles Oakley's wife is coming to the defense of Spike Lee and ripping James Dolan and the Knicks.

To recall, Lee was told he was using the wrong entrance for Monday’s game against the Houston Rockets. The director and die-hard Knicks fan has been using the same entrance for over 20 years, so he was confused why there was an issue.

Lee went on ESPN’s “First Take” on Tuesday and said he believes Dolan has it out for him. Oakley claims the Knicks have become a “plantation” and are making news for the wrong reasons, similar to the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL:

Oakley has already appealed the dismissal of his federal court defamation and assault and battery lawsuit against Dolan and Madison Square Garden. He’s seeking compensation to be determined by a jury for emotional distress and/or mental anguish, punitive damages, damages to his reputation and reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.

Lee, meanwhile, won't be going to another Knicks game all season. So Dolan basically just lost New York's most loyal fan.

The Knickerbockers have been losing for too long now and many believe things will never get better until Dolan sells the team. The 2012-13 season was the last time the Knicks had a winning record and made the playoffs.
