Many sit in awe watching a 44-year old Tom Brady still playing at an MVP level for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Others, like New York Knicks star guard Derrick Rose, want to take that same path of playing for as long as they can.

Per Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, the Knicks guard had a humorous way of summing up his plans when he was asked about the thought of what the end of his career will look like.

Of course, there's some slight sarcasm in Rose's answer. What Brady is doing and in the sport of football is absolutely unheard of. He led the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl title a year ago at age 43 and this season he is one of the frontrunners so far for the MVP award.

Rose is 33-years old and has an MVP himself. However, we all know the story of how gruesome injuries have partially deterred what could've been a career that put Rose up with the best to ever do it in the NBA. Even at age 33, Rose is playing a huge role on a Knicks team trying to get back to the postseason.

“Trying to Tom Brady this thing,” is a lofty goal and would require Rose to stick around in the NBA for at least 11 more seasons. It's rare in any sport for a player to stick around and play at a high level like Brady has but shoot, Rose should set that goal high and run with it. One that that is sure, the Knicks guard isn't thinking about the end of his career.
