Rapper J Cole was at New York Knicks practice on Saturday and gave some advice to guard Frank Ntilikina.

Ntilikina says it was “awesome” being able to chat with the famous artist about life in general and how to be a better person as a whole.

“It was awesome. The huge thing is that he came to us and talked to us and just was trying to bring something that he can bring in his position,” Ntilikina said, via SNY.

“He's a big-time artist and he was talking about some mind space and everything, but it's cool, it's cool. Usually people are not always like this. But it was really cool that we can talk and have a conversation with him about how we can do better in this world, either him about music or us about basketball. It was just amazing.”

Ntilikina has appeared in 18 games this season for the Knicks. He's averaging 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 38.3 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from beyond the arc and 76.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Knicks are 4-15 on the season, which is 14th place in the Eastern Conference standings. J Cole grew up with Knicks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. The two are very close friends.
