Paul George knows that Immanuel Quickley of the New York Knicks has been one of the hottest NBA rookies as of late. The 25th overall pick of the 2020 NBA draft who was acquired by the Knicks on draft day has been a huge spark off the bench for head coach Tom Thibodeau.

On Sunday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, the 21-year-old didn't shy away from the bright lights. Immanuel Quickley erupted for 25 points in 27 minutes off the bench and had Clippers star Paul George praising the young rookie after the game.

After the game, Immanuel Quickley went to Twitter to pay his respects to six-time NBA All-Star as he retweeted George's post-game comments on their match-up.

The Kentucky product's 25-point evening on Sunday was no fluke either. Immanuel Quickley dropped another 25-piece on the Knicks' previous game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday to help his team break a three-game losing skid.

Against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers last Sunday, Immanuel Quickley exploded for a career-high of 31 points, shooting 5-8 from deep.

He's now averaged 21.8 points per game in the Knicks' last four outings – all coming off the Knicks' bench unit.

With an abundance of guards in New York's current roster, the young Immanuel Quickley had to come off the bench behind veteran Elfrid Payton. Quickley's reserve minutes though have been nothing but great for the rookie as he's been able to lead the second unit with his scoring.

If Immanuel Quickley continues this crazy run, he might leave Thibs no choice but to put him alongside RJ Barrett in New York's starting five.

The IQ hype train is here, and it is clearer and clearer with each passing game that the Knicks — for all of their front-office stumbles and organizational flaws — got a draft steal with Immanuel Quickley, giving them more of a ceiling in the future than outsiders might have expected.
