New York Knicks star, Julius Randle, revealed a heartwarming pledge for New York City Schools.

Randle visited the Earl Monroe New Renaissance basketball school in the Bronx and announced that he is going to donate $500 for every 3-pointer he makes this season to the High School's literacy and math intervention programs.

Randle and the Knicks are having another impressive season. Randle on the year is averaging 22.5 points per game. The Knicks are 7-4 on the season.

The kids are going to be excited from Earl Monroe New Renaissance High School because Julius Randle is a 36.4% three-point shooter. Randle hit a career-high 160 three-pointers last season and already has 24 on the season this year.

The Knicks are playing some great basketball and most of that is due to the success of Julius Randle. The former Los Angeles Laker came over to the New York Knicks after spending some time with the New Orlean Pelicans. Randle took a big step in his career when he got to the Big Apple and has emerged into one of the best players in the NBA.

Julius Randle has always seemed like a nice guy and doing things like this means much more than basketball. It's great to see a professional give back to the city that he's playing in. Hopefully, Randle doing this will make other players around the NBA want to do something similar.
