Marcus Morris is now a member of the New York Knicks, but he still appreciates the time he spent with the Boston Celtics.
However, while the love for Boston is still there, Morris admitted that the Celtics did not even give him a single phone call when he was a free agent last summer.
Marcus Morris said he was surprised that he did not get a phone call this summer from the #Celtics when he was a free agent. "I guess that's the business," Morris said. "I thought I at least deserved a phone call but it is what it is."

The Celtics let Morris walk after spending the past two seasons in Boston. During his stint with the team, the 30-year old forward averaged 13.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 27 minutes per contest.

Certainly, statistics and production-wise, Boston has every reason to re-sign Morris in free agency. With that said, it's surprising to know that Danny Ainge and Co. didn't even consider bringing him back.
Morris, however, appears to have taken the cold shoulder in stride and there seems to be no hard feelings from his end.
The Cs visited the Knicks for an early regular season game. Unfortunately for Morris, it was a nightmare visit as Boston routed New York en route to a 118-95 victory for their second straight win of the young season.
The Knicks, on the other hand, lost their third straight to begin their 2019-20 campaign. Morris finished the game with 12 points and seven boards in 29 minutes.
