The New York Knicks' downward spiral continues, and it's just getting worse and worse. The bad news is that we're only just around a quarter into the season.

Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic detailed a laundry list of tragedies in New York's embarrassing 132-88 loss against the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks:

The 44-point loss accounts for the sixth-worst loss in franchise history and drops them to a 4-17 record, tied for the worst in the league.

And if that wasn't enough, Justin Kubatko adds that New York's 4-17 start now ties the worst 21-game start in Knicks history:

Yikes.

The Knicks came into this game with little chance to win, and it showed. The Bucks are the hottest team in the league right now, and the Knicks are, well, the Knicks. They lost this game as soon as the ball went up on opening tip.

Sure, New York has been an utter disaster for the past two decades. But this season, dating back to the offseason, has had no mercy on the souls of Knicks fans everywhere.

We already know they missed out on Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in free agency and also missed out on Zion Williamson.

They also constructed the roster horribly because, apparently, the front office thinks that signing four veteran power forwards is the way to go. They also had that weird press conference from Steve Mills expressing frustration about the team's horrible start. Moreover, head coach David Fizdale is on the hot seat 24/7.

This is going to be a long drag for the Knicks this season.
