While a free agent decision appears to be looming large for Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving, he might have someone who can help him with the potential life-changing move.
On an Instagram post, Irving shared a video with his new girlfriend, Marlene Wilkerson, who runs a YouTube channel on beauty. Wilkerson's channel boasts over 550,00 subscribers.
In the caption, Irving wrote:
“‘I guess the light I see in you is what you see in me, Lord…' My beautiful Find Guru, My Queen. My Light.”
Prior to his relationship with Wilkerson, Irving dated artist Khelani before the two parted ways.
Irving has had plenty of time to spend with Wilkerson when the Celtics' season ended after an Eastern Conference second-round loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
In the 2018 regular season, Irving averaged 23.8 points, 6.9 assists, and 5.1 rebounds.
There is much speculation where Kyrie is going after this season, with teams like the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets in play. Boston could potentially still be in the running if they acquire All-Star forward/center, Anthony Davis.
Until then, Irving looks like a happy man as he spends time with Wilkerson before free agency starts on June 30. Irving cannot formally sign a contract with a team until July 6.
