Los Angeles Lakers fans, current and former players watched helplessly this past week as the Boston Celtics secured championship number 18, surpassing LA's franchise for most in NBA history. On Wednesday, Lakers star Austin Reaves found himself on the receiving end of what could be construed as a “troll move” by a Celtics fan at a golf-themed event.

Reaves' reaction was caught on camera, adding to the mythology of the Lakers vs. Celtics rivalry that has reached a fever pitch in the media recently. The video was shared during a time when Stephen A. Smith backed a beleaguered NBA coach to take the reins of the Lakers organization.

Meanwhile, Bronny James was mocked to Los Angeles amid NBA Draft rumors and innuendo.

The Reaves video unfolded in a sequence worth of Adam Sandler's classic Happy Gilmore movie in terms of its rawness and hilarity.

Reaves appeared to make a gesture indicating the fan in question was “crazy” for what he said to him while riding down the course in a golf cart. The fan slickly called out “Let's Go Celtics” as Reaves and his driver drove past him on the golf course.

Reaves looked back at the fan in disbelief while reluctantly deciding to keep the incident on camera stating that he “has a camera on” to his driver, who could only remark “damn” and “wow” as he took stock of what had just taken place.

“We've got a camera on, I'm going keep it…” Reaves said, still not fully grasping what had taken place.

Lakers Preparing For Crucial NBA Draft

The Lakers find themselves in the catbird's seat among playoff participants as they have an opportunity to select a new player to add to their roster during June 26's NBA Draft. The Lakers pick 17th overall and are in desperate need of a youth and talent infusion to flank LeBron James and Anthony Davis in their quest to secure title number two in the Purple and Gold.

JJ Redick to the Lakers is reportedly a “done” deal according to some NBA insiders but the addition of former Pistons Coach Monty Williams to the coaching pool has caused some to wonder if the Lakers may be second-guessing things. Monty Williams led the Phoenix Suns to the NBA Finals and appears to be a better fit out West than in Detroit where he previously served as the Pistons' number one strategist.

JJ Redick is almost certainly going to be the guy the Lakers end up with, but things happen fast in the NBA – something the Celtics and their fans know all too well after title number 18.
