Danny Green is very interested in joining the Los Angeles Lakers because of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Green said on his Inside The Green Room podcast that signing with the Lakers makes a lot sense because of the appeal of their new duo of James and Davis. The two-time NBA champion is also intrigued by the recent moves made by the Lakers towards building a team that will strongly contend for a title next season.

“It speaks for itself,” Green said of the Lakers having James and Davis starting next season. “And they’ve got other good pieces. Kuzma. They signed Jared Dudley, Troy Daniels, some shooters. And when you’ve got those two guys, you know the sky is the limit.”

Green is also a free agent, and is getting a lot of calls from title contenders. The 32-year-old is considered as one of the most underrated two-way players in the league. The former North Carolina standout was instrumental in Toronto Raptors' successful title run last season.

Green has not ruled out a possible return to the Raptors as well. However, it is widely believed that his decision will depend on where Kawhi Leonard will land this summer. Leonard is reportedly picking between the Lakers, Raptors, and Los Angeles Clippers, but it remains unknown when he is planning to announce his free-agency decision.
