The Los Angeles Lakers are the most hated team in the US right now. And Kyle Kuzma let them know how he felt.

The data was gathered by Sportsinsider.com. They tracked over 100,000 tweets which include phrases like “I hate the (insert team).” As seen in the hate map, the Lakers are the most hated team in 34 states. The Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers, and the Houston Rockets got some contempt as well.

It's difficult to tell why the Lakers are getting all this hate. Probably because they are back on the winning column. As of writing, they have a 6-1 record and are riding a five-game winning streak.

After the acquisition of Anthony Davis via trade, the Lakers further beefed their roster up through the signing of various veterans and role players. Analysts were impressed by their offseason moves but as always, they were still skeptical if this new-look Lakers squad could actually co-exist.

In the young 2019-20 season, the Purple and Gold are clicking on all cylinders. Their offense, helmed by LeBron James, is much more fluid than before. And Dwight Howard — who's in his second stint as a Laker — has pretty much caught everyone by surprise both on offense and defense.

Now, analysts see them as legitimate contenders to the title. If they stay healthy throughout the long season, then they are well on the way to snagging that title once again.
