LeBron James just called himself a ‘pass first' guy. The Los Angeles Lakers star really does embody that energy, leading the NBA in assists back in the 2019-20 season.

James' 10.2 dimes per game were a career high for him in his first year with the Lakers, but his selfless play for that season was no mere anomaly. Throughout his 18-year career, he's averaged 7.4 assists per game. That mark ranks him as the 23rd highest assist per game average in NBA history.

The Lakers superstar was reacting to his amazing streak of 17 seasons with at least a 25 point per game average, an NBA record, as reported by Statmuse. But the follow-up tweet they sent shows off just how wild LeBron's scoring stats currently rank for his career.

LeBron ‘pass first' James is expected by many to surpass fellow Lakers great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the all-time career points total. But beyond that, he's etched his name into just about every other scoring record you could list.

The thing with LeBron is that his dominance has been so consistent over the years that he's sometimes flown under-the-radar, relatively speaking. James isn't flashy in scoring 50 points the way Damian Lillard or Stephen Curry do.

But The King gets it done night in, and night out. He'll drop a casual 35 points and nobody would blink an eye. That's the true testament of his greatness – it's not surprising, it's expected.

Lakers fans can only hope he'll show off both his passing and scoring abilities during their play-in matchup against the Golden State Warriors.
