LeBron James isn't just a basketball player. He's also a student of the game. The Los Angeles Lakers forward has nothing but great things to say about Larry Bird's game.

He quote tweeted what was basically a Larry Legend mixtape and had nothing but praise for the former Boston Celtic:

It's understandable why LeBron James feels this way about Larry Bird's game. Bird wasn't as athletic as LeBron, but he was a terrific basketball player with a deadly 3-point shot and a mouth that spewed hot fire toward his opponents.

While many of today's NBA fans wouldn't remember Larry Bird as a professional player, those who saw him play were mesmerized with how he handled the basketball. As shown in the video, the way he passed the ball made it seem like he has eyes in the back of his head.

Moreover, he was one of the faces of the NBA when it saw its popularity spike in the '80s. Together with Magic Johnson, he showcased mesmerizing basketball that left opponents and fans with their mouths wide open.

LeBron James has had a similar effect on the league, if not bigger. He has been the face of the league for over a decade now. One of the main things that makes him different from Larry is his athleticism. LeBron can still slam it down with the best of them at 34 years old.

It's fantastic to see one great respecting another great. Game recognizes game, after all.
