The much-anticipated battle between the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors just took a major shift in the direction of the home squad. LeBron James and Stephen Curry are fighting for a spot as the 7th seed in the Western Conference. However, Staples Center will be filled to the largest capacity since fans were allowed back in, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

This should be good news for the Lakers, assuming the majority of the fans in attendance will be wearing the purple or gold- or perhaps the new blue and white threads. Nonetheless, the matchup is going to be regarded as an instant classic, unless one of the teams runs away with it.

For the Warriors, they have their work cut out for them even despite their hot streak. Curry has been out of this world, but the Lakers getting both James and Anthony Davis on the floor is always a scary sight for opposing teams.

Now, the arena will be filled with the Lakers faithful aiming for their team to attempt a repeat at an NBA title after topping the Miami Heat in October of 2020 in the Orlando Bubble.

SO, will LeBron James and company prevail and face the Phoenix Suns, or will the Warriors and Steph find their way to a victory?
