With prices of basic commodities ever on the rise, it sometimes makes sense to go for low-end card products in the hobby than their more expensive counterparts. That's why it's not surprising anymore to learn that a good chunk of collectors out there gravitate towards brands like NBA Hoops and Donruss. But every now and then, there's bound to be a massive pull, like this wicked Kobe Bryant card, from these budget packs.

In a video shared by Cardporn on Instagram, a breaker from Mamba Cards was seen ripping a pack of Panini's 2019-20 Contenders. The said product is considered to be among the company's entry-level offerings for card collectors. Unlike Panini's Prizm and Select offerings, these cards are printed on normal cardboard, hence the more affordable price.

As the pack was opened with Jaren Jackson Jr.'s card on top, the breaker quickly scans the others that followed behind. The first glimpse of Bryant going up for a shot while wearing a Los Angeles Lakers' jersey felt as if time stopped. The card was then turned to reveal its entirety.

The pull was then revealed to be a Kobe Bryant Autographed card, which was among the 17 that can be found from this set. It contains Bryant's young profile, an on-card signature down below, and a description of a particular moment in the Lakers' legendary career.

That said moment was from Bryant's appearance as a starter for the Western Conference during the 2000 All-Star Game in Oakland, California. The late Black Mamba received 1,022,897 votes to represent the West, along with Jason Kidd, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, and Shaquille O'Neal. The Lakers' All-Star notched 15 points in 28 minutes to help his team get the 137-126 win over the East.

With Bryant's all-encompassing pull in the hobby, paired with a Hall of Fame-worthy career, it only makes sense for this autographed card to fetch a hefty price tag in the market. Of course, it gets better once this Mamba card gets graded. But in any case, pulling this kind of banger will really be the highlight of any breaker's day.
