Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant wreaked havoc on the NBA for 20 years and racked up too many achievements and accolades to list. The future Hall of Famer made a name for himself due to his ferocious intensity and unwavering work ethic, and those teammates who did not try to match these qualities found themselves on the wrong end of Kobe’s wrath (see: Dwight Howard).

Now it seems like his daughter, Gigi, is destined to bring that same intensity, work ethic and skill set to the WNBA down the track. A video posted to Instagram by Overtime showed Gigi dominating her opponents with The Black Mamba looking on from the sideline. In the video, Kobe is seen coaching his daughter and her team as she showcases a far superior skill set to those of her peers:

Gigi’s impressive shooting from distance and quick hands on defense are the most striking aspects of her game, as the Young Mamba downed buckets from beyond the arc and stripped the ball out of the hands of the opposition on numerous occasions. Her killer instinct on offense and severe intensity on defense are reminiscent of her father’s days in the NBA, and her hustle is arguably the most incredible part of her game.

Gigi already looks to be long and fast, which will only help her continue to dominate the game. She has previously been seen attending WNBA games with her father, and it’s not a stretch to imagine that she has her sights set on playing on the biggest stage in women’s basketball. The 12-year-old is still a number of years away from being able to do that, so her development will be exciting to see.

One thing is for sure, though, if she is anything like Kobe Bryant, which she appears to be, the rest of the field is in a lot of trouble.
