Luka Doncic just made Dallas Mavericks fans remember its greatest player ever in Dirk Nowitzki.

During Saturday's contest against the Denver Nuggets, Doncic pulled off a one-legged fadeaway over Michael Porter Jr., reminiscent of Nowitzki's signature move often hailed as one of the most unstoppable shots in NBA history after Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's sky hook.

Here's the play that certainly brought a lot of memories to Mavs fans:

As icing on the cake, the Mavs took the W as they returned to the win column after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday–a game that Luka Doncic and Kristaps Prozingis sit out to recover from their respective injuries.

While Luka struggled against the Nuggets, shooting 7-of-16 from the field (3-of-10 from deep) to finish with 21 points, he did contribute on other areas with his five rebounds and 12 assists. On the other hand, Kristaps Porzingis led the way for the Mavs with a tea-high 25 points to go along his six rebounds and three blocks.

The Mavs improved to 20-17 after the win, keeping them in sole control of the eighth seed in the Western Conference standings, one and a half game ahead of the Golden State Warriors.

While the Mavs need to climb to the sixth seed to avoid the play-in tournament for the final seedings, Dirk Nowiztki will certainly be proud to see Luka and Co. competing and giving their hearts out on a nightly basis.
