NBA free agency hasn't been very kind to the Dallas Mavericks of late. One of the biggest deals in the market involved Jalen Brunson, who decided to turn his back on the Mavs to sign with the New York Knicks on a massive new deal. This, along with a few other developments that have not gone in their favor, has led to a lot of angry Mavs fans on social media.
Dallas team owner Mark Cuban has been the target of an aggrieved Mavs mob on the mean streets of Twitter. For his part, it is clear that the billionaire has been abreast with all the slander against him, and he's decided to clap back in a rather savage way.
Instead of taking a page out of Kevin Durant's Twitter playbook, Cuban has decided to respond to his haters by “appreciating” their not-so-constructive feedback. A quick look at Cuban's recent Twitter activity shows how many unsavory messages he's decided to like (h/t ClutchPoints on Twitter):
There are some vicious tweets on there that would easily offend anyone on the receiving end of them. However, the Mavs owner just decided to give them a like. Whatever reason Cuban may have for his recent activity, there's no denying that this is a pretty savage way of clapping back at his haters.
To be fair, the Mavs did make a big move in free agency by signing in-demand big man JaVale McGee to a three-year deal worth $20 million. They did miss out on the likes of Goran Dragic and Gary Payton II, though, and it is clear that some fans are more than happy to focus on the negative aspect of all this.
